About Us

Daniel T. Barker, owner and president of Bronson Claims Consultants, is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in speech communication and then moved to Louisiana where he attended graduate school on a full scholarship.

An avid musician, Daniel then traveled to Portland Oregon and immersed himself in the city's eclectic music scene. He recorded  two full length albums with Oregon Music Hall of Fame's  Gregg Williams and has since produced a number of songs for talented musicians nationwide.   Daniel's passion for working on pre-1980’s American and British sports cars fueled  his ambition to enter into the insurance industry as an auto adjuster.

In 2008, while searching for an entry level position as an auto insurance adjuster, Daniel inadvertently applied for a property field adjuster position with Allstate’s National Catastrophe Team. After six years working for Allstate as a catastrophe claims field property adjuster, subject matter expert, trainer, re-inspector, and team lead, Daniel accepted a position at Allstate’s northwest property office handling large loss homeowner’s, renters, and condo owner’s claims, specializing in contents. In 2016, Daniel took a brief sabbatical from insurance adjusting and joined the Oregon Roofers Union (Local 049). With a strong desire to learn about construction and general contracting, Daniel was able to gain a wealth of knowledge not only from the hands-on training he received at the union hall, but also from the roofing installations that he took part in. Daniel worked on crews installing roofing systems at the Portland Expo Center, the historic Town Storage building in southeast Portland, and numerous others.

In 2017, Daniel was ready to take the knowledge and skills from the construction field and apply them to claims adjusting. Daniel accepted a field adjuster / vendor oversight position at Homesite Insurance Company of Boston, where he was one of six adjusters on the National Catastrophe Team. During his time with Homesite, Daniel handled catastrophe claims for Progressive, Geico,  and several other carriers whose policies were underwritten by Homesite. When he wasn’t working 19 day field deployments throughout the United States, Daniel was responsible for assigning independent adjusters to a variety of claims and closely monitoring their work. Daniel's primary job function in this role was to ensure that the adjusters were adhering to the policy and complying with all Department of Insurance regulations.

In 2019, Daniel moved to Hawaii and handled claims for both Universal and Dongbu Insurance companies. He  worked as a property insurance claims investigator focusing primarily on water and fire losses for both homeowners and commercial claims.

In November 2019, Daniel said goodbye to the Hawaiian Islands and moved back to Portland, where he  accepted the position of senior commercial claims field representative  for Farmers Insurance Company.

On September 8th, 2020, Oregon wildfires tore through the state, causing  mass devastation,  leaving behind a thick blanket of toxic smoke that loomed overhead for weeks.  Daniel received a call from an old friend who had suffered a total loss due to wildfire. It was then that Daniel switched gears, walked away from corporate life, and decided to work for the people; acting not only as a peoples advocate, but also as a  commanding voice in dealing with their insurance carriers who cause nothing but jam-ups when their policyholders need them most.

Daniel holds general lines independent adjuster licenses in both Oregon and Washington and is a fully licensed and bonded public adjuster in both states respectively.

The company name was chosen as tribute to the late Charles Bronson.
